An 8-seat omakase bar doing millions a year on DoorDash

Guy Allen spent a decade building a sushi Instagram following before opening Sendo Sushi, an unmarked 8-seat omakase bar in New York that had a waitlist from day one. Most of the restaurant is a back kitchen serving delivery, and Shaan says it does millions a year through DoorDash, like a ghost kitchen with a known premium brand.

“But, but you know, one thing that was really fascinating actually on the business side, because there's only like 8 chairs in the restaurant. So I was like, dude, even I get why there's a line. There's only 8 chairs. Like, you know, what are you going to do? And he's like, well, delivery is huge. And so apparently they're doing like millions a year in DoorDash deliveries and pickups, which is like, I just never really seen that.”
