Story

A Kansas speeding ticket sends Sam down the radar-detector rabbit hole

Sam gets ticketed at midnight in rural Kansas, buys a $500 radar detector out of spite, and discovers it's a terrible, hard-to-set-up product from a publicly traded company doing big revenue, an opening for a modern redesign.

So I was out of defiance. I went and got a radar detector. They are so hard to use and set up. And I started doing research, and some of these companies, the top one is called Uniden. It's publicly traded, does like $200 million in sales selling this radar detector for $500. And I had to watch a 30-minute video on YouTube on how to set this up.
