Taiv: hijack the TV commercial break to upsell a bar's own menu

Shaan pitches Taiv, a YC company that takes over the commercial breaks on bar and restaurant TVs to run local upsells — e.g. flashing '$9 wings right now' during the game. It's essentially an ad-blocker-plus-upsell for sports-bar TVs, with lots of low-hanging fruit but a slow, painful sales process into bars.

So what they do is they hijack the commercial break on that TV and they just upsell stuff from your menu. So, you know, you're watching the game and when the commercial happens, it'll show the wings that they have on the menu and be like, $9 for these wings right now, you want it? Um, it's a commercial just locally for your bar or restaurant.

Steal thisTurn dead ad time on captive screens (bar TVs, waiting rooms) into local upsell inventory for the venue.
